EdjeTech’s Magnetic Separators efficiently remove ferrous metal particles from coolants and oils, extending equipment life and reducing maintenance. Suitable for industries such as manufacturing, chemical processing, water treatment, and more, they deliver optimal fluid filtration across diverse applications

Remove Fine Metals, Enhance Machine Fluid Purity

Maximize machine fluid cleanliness and extend the life of your filtration systems with Edje Tech’s state-of-the-art MD Magnetic Separators. MD Magnetic Coolant Separators effectively remove ferrous particulates from contaminated industrial water and oil-based fluids, providing unparalleled efficiency in capturing metal fines produced in different manufacturing processes.

Whether it's tube manufacturing, machining, grinding, or parts washing, our magnetic separators eliminate metallic fines with ease. By removing ferrous particles, secondary filters, such as paper beds, bag, or cartridge filters, can focus on eliminating non-ferrous materials and enjoy extended life spans between changes.

Magnetic Separation Benefits By The Numbers

Removes Particles < 0.25"

Magnetic Separators remove metallic fines of less than 0.25 inches from liquids.

MD Magnetic Separator Applications

Engineered to remove ferrous metallic fines smaller than 0.25 inches, MD Magnetic Separators are perfect for metalworking facilities involved in processes such as turning, grinding, and other machining operations.

The separators offer great versatility and can be applied in various industries, such as:

  • Glass manufacturing
  • Painting
  • Chemical Processing
  • Food & Beverage
  • Dyeing
  • Water Treatment

Wherever there’s a need to remove ferrous materials from fluids, our Coolant Magnetic Separators deliver.

98% Ferrous Particle Removal

The MD Separators removes 98% of all metal fines.

Why Choose MD Magnetic Separators?

The MD Magnetic Separator’s three-step process achieves optimal filtration and leaves minimal ferrous material behind.

How It Works:
  1. Dirty Liquid Inlet: Contaminated coolant or lubricant enters the system through the diffuser and passes over its rotating magnetic discs.
  2. Filtration: The rotating magnetic discs capture ferrous solids from coolant. A stainless-steel scraper blade removes these collected solids, which fall into a chute for easy collection.
  3. Reuse of Clean Coolant/Lubricant: The filtered, clean coolant or lubricant flows out of the system by gravity into a collection tank and is ready for reuse.

Expect impressive results with this straightforward process, including:

  • 98% Removal Efficiency: Filtration leaves minimal ferrous material behind.
  • Reduced Machine Wear: Cleaner fluids extend equipment life.
  • Fewer Pump Outs: Cleaner reservoirs reduce the need for frequent pump-outs.
  • Lower Maintenance: Maximize uptime with minimal maintenance requirements.

Take control of your machine fluid purity with MD Magnetic Separators, efficient, effective, and built for industrial performance.

Water & Oil-Based Filtration

Separators made to remove ferrous metals from water-based and oil-based fluids.

Two Magnetic Separator Options

The MD Ferrous Metal Separator comes in two models, one that works with water-based coolants and the other with oil. Both models come in a range of specifications, handling flow rates from 13.2 GPM to 132 GPM for water and 6.6 GPM to 66 GPM for oil, ensuring versatile performance across varied industrial applications.

MD Magnetic Separators come in multiple models to remove ferrous metals from industrial coolants in various sized operations.

All models come in a range of specifications, handling flow rates from 9 GPM (gallons per minute) to 277 GPM for oil-based fluids, and 13 GPM to 396 GPM for water-based fluids, ensuring versatile performance across varied industrial applications.

9 to 12 months

MD Magnetic Separators pay for themselves in as little as nine months.

Rapid ROI

MD Magnetic Separators provide a quick return on investment by reducing maintenance costs and downtime through continuous and automated ferrous particulate removal from your fluid stream.

Exceptional filtration extends the lifespan of secondary filters and minimizes machine wear. Efficiently removing ferrous metals cuts the need for frequent pump-outs and filter replacements, which saves labor and consumable costs. The end result is a boost in productivity and operational efficiency.

Up to 80%

Magnetic Separators used in combination with other coolant cleaning technology can reduce fluid purchases by up to 80%.

Magnetic Separation Capabilities

MD Magnetic Separators operate continuously, requiring no downtime for cleaning. Contaminated fluid passes through the unit, where powerful rotating magnets capture ferrous particulates from the fluid stream.

These particulates are then scraped off by a scraper blade and deposited into a collection container, such as a 55-gallon drum or portable chip dumpster, ready for disposal.

Key Features:

  • Continuous Operation: No need for shutdowns to clean the unit.
  • Automatic Scraping: A scraper blade removes the accumulated ferrous material.
  • Efficient Collection: Ferrous particles are directed into a convenient disposal container.
